DEW POINT

(Durational performance, radiator, water spray, 2021)

Dew Point takes as its starting point performing bodies amidst an abundance of heat and humidity. Exploring the contexts that are generated through performance and movement within such an exhibition space.

The term dew point is a meteorological measure of the amount of moisture in the air denoted by the temperature at which water vapor becomes liquid. Whereby 18 degrees Celsius is regarded as when it feels muggy. Central to the performance is the act of bodily secretion through perspiration - sweat. A fluid and odour obverse to traditional exhibition environments. The work explores the point in which performing and labouring blurs into one another within droplets of the performers’ sweat.
